A lake of at least five acres located at least eight miles north of Florence, Lily has long been restricted to flyfishing only. It hasn’t been planted with trout and in fact is very much overrated to the fishing it provides. Visible on the west side and below Highway 101, the lake is surprisingly difficult to walk to and it is very important to use a float tube or very small boat since the lake is very marshy. The muck bottom makes it very difficult for the cutthroat trout and few warmwater fish to successfully spawn. Still,it might provide interesting, if not productive, angling for masochistic anglers.
