Yakima County - I-82 Pond #7

This is the only pond I haven't fished on the I-82 chain and it supposed to be trout free which is a plus for me.

How exactly do I get to this pond without getting hassled by land owners or state patrol?
The directions on the lake info here are what I'd provided, I'm not sure where I got that info originally. It would be quite a walk from that spot to pond #7.
I'm also interested in good access spots in this same area to fish the Yakima River for bass?

Access is on the site below. All but 2 and 3 are good for bass, as are backwaters of the Yakima River And yeah, it's a fair walk, which keeps out a lot of pressure.

Okay, yeah that is the same info we have here.
I don't think it's the walk so much as leaving my car at that site that bothers me.
Are there any rules that I need to be aware of when fishing the river? I haven't fished the river at all.

I don't fish 7 as often as I'd like. It's not a nice neighborhood to leave a vehicle alone in. My pickup gets scared...
I'm not aware of any special rules for spinyray in the Yakima, but there are plenty for trout and salmon. Consult the book, then hire a lawyer to interpret... Just kidding. Check the book though in the eastern streams section. Course the Res side requires one of their kinda pricey permits if you are fishing from land or the back sloughs on that side. I stay on the Freeway side, or float it. I C&R most fish down there anyway. There have been overflows of sewage upstream in the past.

I do have a hard time figuring out what the regs actually say. Glad I'm not the only one.
C&R always unless I'm camping. There's just something about cleaning fish at home that I don't like.

You're welcome. The ponds seem a bit cleaner, having filtered through the gravel and sand, so I eat some from there, but almost never the river. And yeah, the regs are a mess. I must admit it would be tough to regulate hundreds of bodies of water with varied ecosystems, but there have to be simpler ways to express the rules.
