My fellow WL brothers and sisters

Post by scott080379 » Thu Sep 30, 2010 5:52 am

Okay I am at a loss as where to fish this weekend. I have thought maybe some coastal rivers or head north maybe south.

Where is everyone else hitting this weekend?

AAARRGHH I heading off to New York today for 1 week.My entire family is there for a wedding. Im hoping to fish for Stripers off the Jersey shore Sun Morn before the tux goes on.My bro in laws son loves fishing.Hes a C& R fisherperson.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Well this weekend is tied up, so I am going up to Marshall on Friday. The weather will be nice and I'm going to float around on a mountain lake and hopefully snag some cutthroat on a Renegade.

Curado and I will likely be up on the Snoho or Sky I'm thinking.... lest we get a wild hair and hit the salt in A9

How about the Olympic Peninsula? Depending on whats open and producing,at least a scenic drive.
Good luck where ever you go this weekend

If you're gonna do a trip, I'd go check out the Salmon River on the peninsula. The silvers and kings were swimming neck and neck when my pops went out there, bright and shiny and it's the beginning of the run. I'd go for sure, but the wife wants me at home.

I love your pontoon and that is what I wanted as well motor and all. Now I am looking for a yak to padle around, something I will feel a little safer in while fishing the salt.

LOL that would take some skill on a size 14 renegade (or is it a 10-12 Marc?). Unless the fish snags itself slapping sideways.#-o

Trolling for the wiley Lake WA. cutts. OK, it's not a river, but it has a river that flows into it.

I actually have "snagged" a few fish on the side when they swipe at it on the surface. Sure is a lot of fun when the line goes into the backing. You think you have a real big fish on until you get it to the net and realize it is a 14" rainbow.[laugh]
