I fished the SOuth Fork Nooksack on Saturday, TONS OF COHOS. I hooked 10 but landed 1 ( pink salmon makes you lazy ) I was fishing the hatchery side of the river.

The one with water in it.

The Tilton fishery for surplus fish trucked up from the Cowlitz is an interesting grip it and rip it fishery to watch. The fish are nasty looking but to each his own on what he'll drag home. The kings in most rivers are getting pretty funky looking. Your best chance at a bright one is on the Humptulips over on the coast. Silvers? Pretty much every river has them in it. Getting them to "bite" is another story.
Like what was already mentioned; The Cowlitz has large tule kings, and a decent amount of silvers available. Silver fishing there will hold up into November.
Life's short - fish hard!
