Coho?
Hi, new member...Sorry for asking a question right away, but...My grandpa and i are planning a trip for coho somewhere new. We fish alot of rivers locally but no further than a hundred miles out of sequim(Our location). So i was wondering where a good river to target coho from the bank would be, at the start of october? I was thinking the Cascade, but i'm not sure.

Re: Coho?
Quilcene still has fish in it, forks should start getting some soon, cascade would not be a bad bet but that would be like a 4-5 hour drive just don't forget the eggs.
Re: Coho?
Quil still has fish? I was out there last week and it was pretty slow, but i might head out there tomorrow. I'm planning on fishing forks rivers in late october...So i will probably fish the Cascade, kinda wanna fish a different river than i normally do, and a long drive isnt much of a problem. Would it be better to float, drift, or free drift eggs at the Cascade? I asume the water would be pretty low?

Re: Coho?
quil still has fish, me and a buddy kept 7 chromers last saturday and easily hooked 20 more a piece, but thats just us.
Cascade you want to float those eggs, perfect float fishing water and I have had success with 1/2oz floats with a egg sinker and a 1/8oz pink bait wt with pink eggs or sometimes drift fishing beads and eggs or just the bead will work wonders, you will probaly see me this weekend if you go, less of a mile of fishable water.
