idk if anyone mentioned this but have a 10-20ft piece of mono blood knotted on your braid and put the bobber stop on it with the bobber and then attach the 2ft leader and jig.

I pre tie all jigs with 20 inch leader and attach swivel to other end. I can change jigs every other cast if I want and never tie a knot, and when I have that float set to the proper depth I don't have to try and find that same depth after each re-tie, as that leader gets shorter. Makes finding the jig that the stealhead want that day much easier. Not to mention those cold days when your hands don't want to keep retying jigs to find the one they want. It is amazing how often you catch fish on that first or second cast with a change of the jig. I have watched people fish the same jig all day and wonder why they don't catch fish.
I've also pre-tie my jigs but use an in-line weight. Do you guys think this is too much gear in the water below the bobber?

If I was on a boat? Heck I would have tied a loop on the leaders of the jigs and just snap them on and cast. Great idea!!!
rolls take up too much space..you are correct. Too bulky. I use thim foam sheets that have slits and such to stay organized. I get the foam from the craft store and make them myself. Cost about .20 cents and holds 11 pretied jigs. When I am out fishing nothing frustrates me more then when my line is not in the water!

I've heard good things about the nanofil, I wonder how it stacs up on the UV scale as Berkley's seem to be pretty reflective. Remember the UV thread? It's time to replace the line on a couple of reels, it was one of the try next choices.

That reminds me, I got one of those UV flashlights for xmas. Been going around lighting stuff up - line, jigs, spinners, etc. Really surprised at what I am finding!
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Another cool thing with those lights is marking your property with invisible pen. With the invisible pen you can't see any writing on say the back of your tv or stereo equipment or any of your personal property. You put your DL # or phone # or name and address on your item and if stolen and police recover it they contact you (it is my understanding recovered items are checked with uv light for id marks) I heard some pawn shops check for uv markings also. Anyways you can tell if an item is your or not with the flash of a black light, under normal lighting you see nothing. You can get the pens on ebay for I think like $2

Good for charging glow in the dark stuff too. Much better than an old camera flash or reg flashlight.
