Sammamish River Winter Steelhead??

Hey guys i was wondering since the sam river opens in January if it had any winter run steelies in it???!!! That would be pretty awesome! Ive heard some stories and i myself have caught 2 20 inch Rainbow/Cutts outa there but are there any winters?

skip it. Try somewhere else if you want a decent shot at hatchery winter run steelhead

Oh i know i am going to be fishin the sky alot but the sam is close to my house and i could ride my bike there for some! I was just wondering if there were any in there?

It might be statistically possible, but I think it would be a "native" run fish that is very depressed.

can you fish for squaw fish that time of year? a fish is a fish when you only have an hour afterwork before its too dark to fish

You can fish any fish in there from January 1 to august 31st i havent caught anything till like march and i fish it alot!
