Hey guys,

So I'm chomping at the bit to fish somewhere I can have a great chance at getting some steel. I live near duvall and have been fishing the skykomish and am tired of it. Looking to stay within 3 hours of seattle area. I was planning on going to the hump this weekend and bank fish for the first time BUT it looks like they are going to get pounded with rain. Anybody have any advice on a fishable location this weekend? I'm all ears... THANK YOU!

If I want a salmon type fishie, I go to the fish market at the pier in Seattle. lol

Just stick a hook in it and take a picture. :-k

Cowlitz River should be turning on soon for late winter run fish. Green river is an option, as is the Skokumchuck. Check your regs, I'm not up to date on them for these spots.

ive been thinking the same thing but unfortunately ill have to stick to skykomish river system, ive been trying to plan an OP trip but its a trek from lynnwood. been thinking about hitting the green river but not sure how productive it will be.

I have been on the sky as well looking for some fish. its been a few weeks but seems much slower than normal. Haven't got one all year.. I feel your pain. only place I'd go where you can retain hatchery steelhead as far as I know would be upper skagit or the cascade river. I don't know how productive it is up there though. at least there's lots of large dollys in that river system
