It would have to be 1.10...the old record is 1.09 lbs.

Larger than 11-12in. This of course would mean that the fish was not stuffed. If a pumkinseed was 10in. and stuffed to the gills it could break the record. But my best guess would be that a record pumkinseed will be in the 12in range.
But the length won't qualify you for a record anyways so I wouldn't worry to much about how long it is, just on how much it weighs.

As a bass angler, I've had many sunfish smack size 11 Rapalas on the surface but I doubt if any were over a pound. However, it does take a macho sunfish to hit a lure that big with their little mouths. Good luck in catching the new record. BJ

You need to make sure you are identifying a Pumpkinseed sunfish and regular bluegill correctly first off. 1.09 does seem a little low to me. I want to fish Terrell this year, so maybe I'll take my ultra light along too  Go for it guys. I had a day on a local lake where I caught 30 fish, bluegill/pumpkinseed mix. I'd have to look at old pictures to see if my twelve 10 inchers were in fact bluegill or pumps.

Are you that dense? Dude, it would have to be 1.10...the old record is 1.09 lbs.
im getting offended by alot of your posts, and there not even close to being directed at me.

i know of a lake in federal way that holds some huge ones. especially in april when they are spawning in the shallows. although the biggest i have seen is around 11 inches im sure there are a few bigger ones in there.

no worries at all. it was just the simple things like are you dense? im sure i was just reading it the wrong way, as i know you cant get a sense of how people say things when they post. you cant see there expression so it can be hard to judge. although i am glad you decided to stick around. not to many people around have quality info on the cutts.

Ah, I see your point. I should have mentioned awhile ago both fishingmachine and myself are good friends and do fish together quite a bit...you won't see anything like this in the future, but I just wanted to make it very clear that we're good company and both FM and myself joke around, too. No worries, you won't be reading anymore of these"instant messaging posts]tnj2222[/b]. Bests, kk.

Now where have I heard that before?:-"

Yeah I'm pretty clueless about how to tell them apart. And all the panfish I've caught it would take about 5 of them to make one 1 lb fish. So you can rule me out.
