A few times out at silver lake (pierce county) and american, but not too much when it's really pouring.
Fishing relaxes me. It's like yoga, except i still get to kill something.

I prefer windy, rainy, cloudy days. Always have productive outings then. :)

I usually do better when it rains... I do the best when it's grey and overcast though. Bright sunlight is not conducive for fishing... just getting a tan

Rainy days are some of the most productive fishing days. If you can get away with just sprinkling and low wind your in for a good day. Downpour is just misrable to be in.
Ideal day for fishing would be warm with a slight breeze and overcast skies.

When fishing Lake wa I find the white cap days are best cuz your bait gets natural action. In good waves I like a bobber and worm to maximize the movement of the water. The second part of this is we live in the Northwest. If you dont fish cuz of rain you might not fish very much at all.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

And when we were fishing in the hailstorm we were catching and didn't really even notice the hail!
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

My favorite is fishing in the snow, where my guides freeze shut!

Yep winter steelheading. Wind, rain, snow, hail, and that was just in one trip. Guides freezing on me having to dip rod in the river every 2-3 casts. I got a steelie 3 times while raining and I couldnt tell ya how many trout Ive gotten in the rain. So Id say it really doesnt matter raining or not. If fish are there theyll bite.
More fish please!

If you are holding it longer then 10 seconds, that means you are playing with it. :salut:

Yeah, well I fished the Blue Creek area and was dumped on last night, nothing.

I'm debating on fishing tomorrow. I'm leaning toward Sunday for sure since it promises to be a better day in the inland NW.

What do y'all think? I could go both days... should I bass fish in the rain?? Looks to be about 10 mph wind on the water tomorrow.

It's time to catch bass and chew bubble gum, guys... and I'm all out of gum

Yup, I agree. However, every once in a blue moon, you can get lucky, even in a deluge.

It was raining cats and dogs and the wind was wildly howling. You could almost hear in the wind these words in a whispered tone, "Go home! It is not worth the trouble to fish in these conditions."

To illustrate my disdain for the conditions, I tied on a rapala skitter walk. I don't know about you, but I don't know anyone who would try, let alone try a walk-the-dog type of lure in deluge conditions. Why? The gut said so.

After a few casts, bam! I saw the smash and splash through the crashing of the rain drops. Fish on, baby. The rain stopped suddenly as I pulled the bass to me after the fight in a way that seemed as if the weather stopped so I could take the picture. You can see how wet the bench is.

I have had luck in the rain on other days and sometimes not. I say go fishing rain or shine unless there is lightning.
