Man, this is like one big long PM.
Can't believe I just wasted time reading this whole thing. Come on guys. The number of post you have is not that important. Keep to the quality posts guys. Sorry, but someone had to say it.

Hey like Sam said, Fishingmachine has/had a lot of questions. I finally steered him towards the means of a PM route...No one ever said how many posts you have is important. We were just trying to answer his questions. He's only 15 so this could be little intimidating on a site such as this (not knowing where to post, etc.)...Plus, Rabbits shared some valuable information that I may use and I think others can use on this site, so I believe this thread is informative, other than the tons and tons of q's fishingmachine posted in the thread. These would be better suited for a PM, you're right on the money there.fishnislife wrote:Man, this is like one big long PM.![]()

IMO, here's the scoop. Long Lake, Beaver Lake Park Pond, whatever you call it, is certainly not as deep as you think. Maybe 15 feet deep at the max. I went there in a period of high water after a rain, and I couldn't run the trolling motor for the first 50 yards because it was so shallow. Before you guys brought it up, I would only have thought of fishing there for bass or panfish in the early fall/late summer.
Second. The second lake, by the big rock, has the best trout fishing (for me). It is a very deep lake, as deep in some parts if not deeper than Big Beaver itself. The passageway to this lake, you guys will be fine in an inflatable. We run a 14' alumi through there with a trolling motor no problem, especially with the high water right now. It will actually be easier than getting to Long Lake. Its just the sticks and stuff you have to watch for, but you'll be fine if you're smart with a trolling motor or just really slow. This lake is the one I have had the best luck in for trout, many dropoffs if you can find them. Water temperature, I've never thought of it, but I went there yesterday and saw some really trout jumping all around.

fishingmachine: send iPodrodder a PM if you still have questions regarding Beaver lake. He's the local know it all for that lake. He does some successful fishing out there.

olive woolly bugger at a slow troll #12 hook. My favorite way to tie a woolly bugger is with some extra marabou strips on the back of the fly and mix in some flashy shiny strands as well. Creates the appearance of a leach in the water. And gives much better action when trolling. Fish hit light
Rum is good.

Thank you iPod. This is good information and that's what I thought. The little lake would be worth very little right now in terms of trolling as you said it's only 15 feet. Thanks for the info on the deeper lake. We will stay safe and go slow through the channel to get back there. I appreciate your insight and guidance.iPodrodder wrote:This lake is the one I have had the best luck in for trout, many dropoffs if you can find them.
