Is Beaver Lake in Issaquah frozen over? By the sounds of it Green Lake in downtown Seattle is frozen, and I would assume Lake Alice in Fall City would be frozen solid too. From reading the recent reports it sounds like most lakes are frozen over.

I seriously doubt that Green Lake (king county) is frozen. There is a big difference between those little lakes up on the plateau, Alice and the Beav. I mean. Here in the city it really hasn't stayed below freezing all that much except at night.

went to boren lake last night hoping fo a small trout. nope ice on the lake.

Yep Quad as of Yesterday (Friday) Greenlake was frozen over except for right around the boathouse. Surprised me too. I took my canoe down there - I tried to launch by the tennis courts and made it out about 50 yards before I gave up and came back - ice was a constant 1.5" thick.

Ice was a little under an inch thick at spanaway yesterday

Wow! I guess I stand corrected. Maybe I haven't been reading the thermometer lately... I just don't see lakes freezing until you have temps in the low 20's for a solid week. I guess that is why when I was in my float tube in Green lake a couple weeks ago... I thought I was gonna die when I finally got out!

Beaver is not quite frozen, but getting there. Continue with the 25 degree stuff and it will freeze.

Thanks iPodrodder. I think I will hit Beaver tomorrow and gut the cold. If it's not frozen I'm ok. Alice is a little higher and much smaller than Beaver so I think that it will be frozen. Good news on Beaver. Temps look like they should moderate later on here...I'm reading 39F which is good with a strong SE wind of 14G23...so the ice may be thinning...

I think Beaver got a little coat of ice in the last few days but melted. Things are starting to warm up for now.

See my new report on Beaver. Beaver has a 1/4" layer of ice covering about 1/4th of the entire lake...it shifts around and it's tough to break thru. It was cold and snowing today 34F and water temp 37.5F.
