trout brine or marinate

:chef: Any one have a killer brine for smoking trout. I smoked a few last year with soaking them overnight in 8 cups water 2 cups soy sauce 1/4 cup salt and 1 cup brown sugar. They were good but I want a little more sweetness and kick? I use a charcoal smoker.:chef:
