Just a kind reminder

Post by Dave » Fri Sep 11, 2009 4:15 pm

Just a kind reminder to remember to mail in your summer crab catch record cards or report your catch on line at https://fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/WA/Crabreport/Custsearch for the 09 summer Dungeness season that just ended.

We sure had some great crabbing this summer! Anyway, I just wanted to mention it so no one forgets and has to pay the 10.00 fee to get a shellfish license next year.

Take care all......

Dave

thanks Dave..!

I'll just throw in even if you didn't go crabbing, but were issued a card (crab CRC) you need to report. $10 bucks is $10 bucks!!
I have caught many fish in my life. The most exciting? The next one.....

It's not just about saving yourself $10, WDFW needs catch records back for allocations.

Minor amounts of effort to get it turned in, especially compared to all the time we spend crabbing throughout the summer.

Here's hoping that we get another "Winter" season like we did last year. I really look forward to pulling some crab out of the pots after releasing shaker blackmouth all day.

I agree G-Man and think they taste better in the winter time. Maybe it's the colder water but who knows. Love winter crab!!!
