Well, I've finally decided just to give in and get a dang fish finder so that I can get a clearer picture of the topography of the lakes I fish....HOWEVER, I need one that's portable as I need to be able to use it in multiple boats/canoes etc.....AND I really don't like the idea of the ones that just have conventional batteries like AA's and such. Even though I could just get rechargeables, I just don't need any more crud like that around, I've already got chargers for the boats/cars/quads/mower/starter battery for gas powered RC car, and the list goes on. I think I may just have found the one that suits me.

It runs off a gel cel battery, comes in a soft carry case, is waterproof and only weighs in at four pounds for everything. Has anyone used this model? I'm open to other suggestions also, but so far, this one really looks nice and would work in all my vessels and soon to be ones,,haha. And for the price, it seems to be a pretty solid performer.....anybody????
