Joe's Anniversary Sale

Post by HillbillyGeek » Fri Mar 28, 2008 10:29 am

The sale starts Monday, March 31. Hopefully it will be good!

This is also the last day your 2007-2008 fishing license is valid. #-o

The sale never applies to licenses anyways...nor can gift cards be used to purchase WA state fishing licenses...BUT...the sales at Joe's are sweet and you can get a quality Bradley Smoker there. Tons of other great stuff...thanks for the FYI.

Joes does seem to have great prices, and those sales are a good time to stock up on a few things for the fishing season...

Good idea!

There will probably be long lines at the license counter this weekend -- and that line moves slow... #-o

In case anybody doesn't know this already. You can renew your license online. You get yourself an ID and as soon as you complete the renewal, you get a printable temp license to use until the real one comes in the mail. I have done this the past few years and it works great! The best part is that you just put in your drivers license # and it pulls up all of your info (except credit card of course), like address and what you purchased last year. Tha way you don't have to re-enter it every year.
You can check it out at: https://fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov/
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

I checked out the anniversary sale today. It wasn't that great. I got a nice 6'6" medium action ugly stik spinning rod for $29. It will be perfect for trolling little crankbaits for smallies.

I also got a couple of nice spinnerbaits that were on sale and some insoles that were not on sale.

The Joe's ad has a coupon for $25 off a $100 purchase, but many products are excluded like fishing reels, fishing electronics, specific brands of shoes, etc.

The fishing buddy 1101 is on sale for $60, but cabelas has it for less in the bargain cave:

Only thing I bought was a $10 infant's life vest for my daughter. Pretty lame in the fishing tackle sales prices... same sales prices as items that go on sale every few weeks.

Their tent sale might be better...

I got 4 packs Maxima line, a deep cycle battery, container of nightcrawlers, a very small reel, flashy tape for my homemade spinners and an antenna for my truck. I got to use the $25.00 off.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
