Anybody out there know where I can get parts for either of these reels? Linc's tackle in Seattle told me no parts were available. Too old.

Thanks.

Are you using an abbreviation for the maker/model of the reel? Lew Childre.... what does that stand for? I kind of like searching for stuff like this, but not sure of what you are referring to.

Oh, that's the manufacturer. It's actually a pretty old reel. The first baitcaster I ever bought about *ahem* 25 years ago. Lew Childre Speed Spool. They actually sell them on EBay. Ryobi bought them out way back then, and started making them. They were pretty popular back then.

What I need is the pawl, the little part for the levelwind. I have three different reels. All need the same part. I haven't used them for a loooong time, but they will work great if I can get the part.

Funny thing, I was looking in my BPS catalog and there's a David Fritts "crankbait" baitcaster they sell which looks almost identical to my reels.

should've done a search earlier. there's a lews.com :) I will call them. Supposedly Zebco owns them.
