King Spinner
King Spinner
I was going through some of my tackle in the garage and found some 4.5 inch hoochies that I didn't know what to do with. So I decided to make a heavy spinner for tossing off the docks or in the river (deeper pools) for kings, just to see if it'll work. All together it weighs out at 1 1/4oz with a 3/0 sickle hanging just up from the edge of the tentacles. I used 2 egg sinkers that slid into the body of the hoochie for weight and added a 10mm bead on the bottom of the wire for a little extra glow. Think it'll work?

Fishing relaxes me. It's like yoga, except i still get to kill something.

I'd put money on that would catch a fish. I'm surprised no one has thought of that.

Sure it'll work!
I've been doing that for 20+ years.
I usually use a Chrome Colorado blade on them.
I've found the brass doesn't give enough flash.

Depends on water clarity I guess, willowleaf blades are my favorite. Ever made a spoon from one?
