So an interesting topic came about today . There are alot of Pontoon , floatation device , jon boater etc owners here on this side of the mountains ..Who would be interested in puting together a local club that would shedule fishing events through out the calander year that we could be apart of . Such events would include bass event, trout event, etc .. Im just really looking for a few guys to step up and help with suggestions and ideals that would cater too us "non-boat" owners . There are a few other states that have already started these events and the results and feed back has been very positive .So please feel free too offer any suggestions or opinions for that matter on this topic .. as too rules , regs , etc everything needs to be covered in order to make this come about .. HAVE AT IT BOYZ AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS

I would definitely be interested! I am also willing to help as much as my work schedule allows (typically six days a week right now). I know there is or was a website for a California club that does float-tube and pontoon bass fishing tournaments. Their site, if it still exists, might be worth checking out for ideas. Let me know what I can do to help. For tournaments, it should be catch and release for bass with some type of live-well or floating fish basket set-up to keep the fish alive in.

I'm in! Please have mercy on me for being geographically challenged when we plan our meeting times, or we could just have the get togethers after the outings.

There are alot of bass clubs that Danielt gave me the websites for, I could download their rules and tournament stuff and put something together using the musky sites inputs also. It'll take a while as I am leaving the area in a couple days for vacation. We could be up and running soon with a calendar for next season.

If you guys want to have tournaments or "contest" you will need some info from here http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/contests/index.htm as well as permits for the whole season. If you are just going to have "fish ins" or get togethers then you should be fine.

I would be interested in that for sure. I would also like to help where I can. However I have a pretty weird work schedule so I'm am working most of the weekend. Lets get a group together and have a meeting to start working out the details.

I'd definately be interested! Although, truth be told, my wife is expecting and due in mid October. So, I probably won't be as active after. Although, I'm hoping that next spring/summer I'll be able to head out a couple of times.

BTW, I have a Classic Accessories pontoon. It's the model that was sold before the "Colorado", with a soft seat instead of the hard one. I do have a trolling motor, but I'm wanting to get myself an anchor for better still fishing (wind really pushes me around).

Oh yeah, it will take some time to organize and hash out what the majority of us want to do. But we should be able to pull it off and be running early in the new year. Like BBD says, "KEEP IT COMING!!"

Ok Looks like we would only be able to obtain Seven Permits per year @ $24.00 per Permit .. All Permits would need to be requested within 30 days of the event . Also after each event The catch and release info would need to Recored and than submitted to Fish & game dept. question guys , are we looking to start a Club base ? or Are we talking just a Open to all . Either way there are gone to be costs and organization needed i.e. Budget dept . Admin. dept . etc !! With the associated cost that go alone with these events will also need to explore funding . sponsorship , membership , dues , fundrising etc .. If we go with a Club format , membship and dues will take care things , If we allow Open to all pay as you go we will need sponsorship for sure .. Things to think about !!! BBD

I second what Kevin said, it would be cool to get to know each other a bit prior to setting out on the "club scene"...I think it would strengthen our brotherhood. Us poor bastards have to stick together!!!!

I usually available EARLY mornings during the week with an occasional evening trip if it's within a few miles of Issaquah (Beaver, Traditions, Alice, Sammamish, etc.) and Saturday mornings...EARRRRRLY (like get in the water when it's dark early)

I'm probably gonna be out on Beaver Lake again tomorrow a.m. (launching from the boat ramp area) around 6 a.m. I've got a blue Bear 8' pontoon, I'll be in a red jacket, if you're able to make it give me a shout.

my buddies and i all have jon boats. we fish together quiet often, and fish the smaller lakes. most of the time we are on electric only lakes, hence our boats are electric only.

Well...it's official...I'm a canoe guy now. Got a smokin deal on a 15' Coleman today, so that's what I'll be "bassin" in from here on out. I'm returning my buddies pontoon on Tuesday. It was a cool way to get on the lake, but just couldn't find one in my married with 3 kids budget.

Can we add "Canoe" to the list of boats for our "club"??? Can I get an Amen???
