Any one Fished Reds in Alaska?

Post by the1fishingpro » Wed Sep 19, 2007 7:09 pm

I went this July to the Kenai River and the reds ran through in the thousands! im talking 30 - 40 thousand a day! Best method was using Salmon Jigs/flies and tossing them out only 10' from bank. Limit can depend from 2 - 6 a day and dont worry, you will hook a ton anyways. "I would recommend waders." It was way fun. I hope to go back soon.

Any one else had the experience of Alaska yet?
If in doubt set the hook!

I bumped into someone from work who fishes the Kenai in June, same story tons of Reds, he said he was just using red hooks with a bullet weight.
