Was really nice to see $2.09 on the way home last night at the Arco just off the 167 Algona/Pacific exit in Auburn.

Independance Mo is down to $1.60 a gallon at one place.

Free Fall! Barrell of oil $56. OPEC's turn to sweat. Let's shot for $40! I hope we don't loss our political will to work on our oil dependence.

Im glad it dropped below $2.00/gal, Arco and Costco in Tacoma are under $1.80.

I wonder just how low its gonna go before prices level out.

Less than half what it cost to fill up over the summer, amazing. For my family, our driving habits have permanently changd. Spouse takes the bus to work - gets there just as fast and doesn't have to pay $110 a month for parking. My new car improved my gas mileage by 33%. The gas savings was more impressive when it was $4 a gallon but even so it's saving a nice chunk of change every fill up.

How about everyone else - did the summer gas prices cause permanent changes in your driving habits or situations?

Gas prices got me this summer! I definately fished lakes closer to home than normal. My wife loves to see me go fishing cuz I always come home happy but this year she dreaded me filling up the tank everytime I went fishing even staying close!

$4.50/gal sure cut my longer trips down this last summer. Just driving out to Amber and back made it a $23.50 trip. Now it is about $9.00. If it stays that low next year, I plan on hitting some of the lakes up north and shooting some lake videos.
This is the first Thanksgiving that I can ever remember that they didn't jack up the gas prices by about $0.15/gal simply because of the holiday.
Makes you wonder about all those years past:scratch:

Yea, we did a bit less driving and we drove the Corolla most of the time, instead of the truck. I rode my Kawasaki most of the summer and even on some days I normally wouldnt due to weather, but at 80 miles a day comuting ya do what ya gotta do to save...

Dakota - 20mpg
Corolla - 35mpg
Kawasaki - 48mpg

We did change our driving habits. Usually consolidating trips into one day and planning our schedule for errands needed to be run. After a time we were doing errands that were only needed and not wanted. I fished the local waters more but wished I could have gotten out to other places more often. Maybe this upcoming spring.

they got me this summer, definetly didn't do the fishing out in westport i usually do. :-( , i only could afford one trip this last summer compared to damn near 1 trip every 2 weeks through out summer 2007. so needless to say my freezer is void of fresh bottom fish and salmon :-({|=
