Looking for a machinist.

Post by Matt » Thu Jul 14, 2011 11:21 pm

Trying to get some downrigger mounts welded up on my Wooldridge Xtra Plus. Hoping to get an aluminum bracket welded from the handrail to the inside gunnel.

Called 3 rivers and set up an appointment, but they are 3 weeks out and I would like to get it done a bit sooner if possible so I am asking here if anyone knows of someone with material and time that would want to make a quick extra buck.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Matt, try Jon Petrzelka at Petrzelka Bros, Inc. They do a ton of boat and marine customization/fabrication. They have done work for us before and they were very fairly priced. We were very pleased with their work and the overall customer experience. They are located just off the freeway in south Mount Vernon. Their phone number is 360-424-8095.

Glens Welding off 164th just north of alderwood. Very resonable guy and does great work on Alu boats.

Thanks guys. I may have something lined up for Monday, if not I will see where to go from there.

Technically I need a machinist AND a welder... what I ACTUALLY need is a fabricator. It will require both making the part and welding it on. :batman:

I got hooked up today. Dude took measurements Monday, made the parts Tuesday, and welded them on this afternoon.
