Need to fix a busted rod tip
Busted the tip on one of my boat rods. Only busted off the top 2 inches or so. I have taken a busted rod to a guy in Lake Stevens to get repaired but I'm looking for somebody a little closer to Bothell/Woodinville.
Thanks
Thanks

You've been to the place. Sorry about the drive. If you have calipers, you can measure the tip and order one off the web. or drive to Seattle or maybe LFP by I5. Can't remember the name of the shop off the top of my head, it's in with the grocery store.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Re: Need to fix a busted rod tip
I have seen tips at Wal-Mart, they usually have 3 different sizes in a kit with some glue
Eat, sleep, fish
Re: Need to fix a busted rod tip
Cabela's haas a tip replacement kit that comes with two of each size tips for like 10 bucks. Well worth it. To fix it you just use the hot glue, melt it with a lighter and put it on. Teds in Lynnwood also has tips, sometimes they run out of sizes that fit though. It can be hard to find a good fit sometimes because the rods are made to fit specific size tips, and depending on where it busted you're going to have an in-between size where it may be a little loose. I find that a drop of epoxy or some other stiff glue on the tip of the blank keeps it in place and from twisting.

Thanks guys. I've shopped at Anglers Choice a few times, pretty close, so think I'll try them.
