No that wont be it=:-$ find some one day dug sandshrimp, great roe and a few crawlers you boys find where the (Calawah River and where the Bogy meet):-# :-" be there 1 hour before 1st light you will back packing meat.:chef:

Fish inside and outside the 2 bigger seams pound the bottom and finish the entire drift and let set in the tailouts some.

Watermelon or candy cane Corkies = Chartruse and pink yarns twist scent all size number 4 gamas pink and orange or red hooks the above baits

Fish on

The real question is the Bogy even close to being in shape to fish???

She's blown right now. If not Saturday then Sunday. Either way we're going. At least the girl will get to see the ocean. So are you saying there should be 2 hooks? one plain hook above the bait?

Run 2x times the fun your still lean on mean! :-# :-$ LOL
Start with shrimp meat tails only and shrimp scent Smelly Jelly/small corkies 2x stacked:bounce:

Run these over sliding slinkies you will get down faster get smaller size and if it stops wrist mend through the drift/rig the same way as a slinkie and you could float fish this waters as well

Puff balls another option as well.
I had to help Pops on this drift still out guiding and getting it done terminal cancer and his ashes are over the Hoh.[-o< :thumright =d>

Throw in a pink wormie or 2 as well:compress:

Alright. I'm studying up. I need to get my license tomorrow so I'll grab some #2 Gami's and tie em above my other hook.

Jens i make my own weights, i take a three way swivel and tie a piece of rubber tube onto the bottom one and cram a piece of pencil lead into it and the other two holes one for the main line one for the leader. You should check this out

Didn't fish as much as I planned. It was a whole family trip. No metal for me, but I'm used to it by now. I did learn quite a bit about the gear I like and that I need to fish way more efficiently and cover more water. I need to find a confidence technique. The learning curve is steep but I'm still trudging upward. Now I need to get some confidence back by cathcing some stocker trout and bass. The river gear is going up on the rack. Soon it'll be time to start tying leaders and making slinkies. Putting my fall '09 "work bench" together as Swede would say.

I feel ya man, I am learning that I am good at catching stockers, but much respect to those who have put their time on the rivers...I have a ways to go before I am not a rookie anymore...
