Thanks again. I just bought a 25hp mercury jet efi 2014 model for my 1448 alumacraft. Awesome. Brought it to sammamish yesterday for a good break in. I'm ready for the river
prolly have to wait a few days now though from the flooding :(

jet motor winter maintenance help
Hey guys - So as this is my first season running the river in winter, what do you guys do to keep your outboards from freezing up after day to day use? And is it a different process for a jet motor? I have to store my boat outside. Thanks guys.

spoonman. Its tough because I think a 40 or 50hp would be too big for my boat. Its an alumacraft 1448. Not rated for much.

Thanks skyriverman. Great advice. I wish I could find a pump. Can you buy any pump to fit your motor? I mean, are they universal?

New boater on the river. Help please!
So, today I officially popped my cherry for boating on the river! My step son and I launched in sultan with my 14' Alumacraft with a 30hp short shaft w/prop. The skykomish was on the drop from the day before and almost lost 2 feet of water but I was determined that I would finally get the boat in. W...
