Banks in April

Post by ImaFrayedKnot » Thu Apr 09, 2015 4:56 pm

Wondering if anyone has any insight to fishing Banks this time of year. Is it worth the 2hr trip? This'll be my first time in it, so just wondering what y'all might think...

I've fished it in the past, around late April. Fished around Osbourn Bay from the bank and caught bass on lipless cranks in crawdad colors. Plenty of carp as well, if you're interested in that kind of thing.

Check the reports for Banks in the Lakes index. You can check how it was this time of year going back several years.

There have been a few recent reports with walleye being caught and I think I remember someone mentioning bass.

As warm as it has been this spring, I would expect it to be at least decent. Dont know if the bass are in pre-spawn mode yet or not though.
