4 of july yakima river

Post by waynenaegle » Wed Jun 18, 2014 9:55 am

Going to be camping in Cle Elum area on 4 of july weekend and want to do some fly fishing on yakima. have fished by the two ponds and west of Cle Elum but not east along hwy 10. is there access for wading? I have a pontoon but by myself I don't want to hassle with trying to get back to starting point. Anyone else fishing there then? thanks for any info..

Fished it with a guy with a drift boat and hoppers, mice, etc., and did very well in the middle of July. But, I cannot answer your access question. Sorry. ](*,)

going camping at wish poosh on Cle Elum lake. going to try my pontoon and fish in Cooper lake, small no motor lake and have heard that at one time there were some nice fish here. will see if any fish are still there. also will take drive to find shore access on Yakima between Cle Elum and Ellensburg. [confused]

send me a PM with your email, and I will send you a Google maps link with some shore access right where you are talking about. Hwy. 10, etc.
