I Can't Believe It!

Post by Lotech Joe » Sat Apr 05, 2008 9:14 am

I'm all ready to do yard chores so I can go fishing next weekend, and it's snowing again. For crying out loud, it April 5th already. I can remember in years past, my brother and I would go tent camping two weeks from this date. He would go turkey hunting and I would go fishing. I can't figure this weather out. It must be a lesson in patience, humility or tolerance. Maybe all three. It's got me so stir crazy I'm actually thinking about bowling..(NOT).

I have empathy for ya Joe.I lived over in the Spokane area for a couple of years and I know your pain. Now I'm on the west side of the mountains. So no more -20 with the wind chill for me.No more 100+ plus in the summer.Just rain 9 months straight. But please whatever you do don't go to the Darkside.Drop the bowling shoes and step away from the bowling shoes. It will get better.

I'm with you, Joe! This weather is killing me. I took the wife and kids to Seattle this past week for Spring Break. Figured it would warm up a bit as I was out of town. I really believed you guys would be having some banner days while I was gone! After all, that's normally how it works. Nope. Drove into town on Saturday just to find another layer of snow, as you mentioned. It's April for crying out loud....can we get a little mercy??!!

Watched the local news last night. The weather gal claims that the latest snow moved us into the second spot for Spokane's snowiest winter. WOW, just 9-10 days ago we were in the 7th position. Our high of 45 was once again 7 degrees below normal, something most of us have noticed for the past month or so.

Must be an off year for global warming in the Pacific Northwest!!!

Must be Global Warming, after all, the ice packs in the Antarctic are rebuilding 60% faster than last year, and last year was a record year. The temperatures at the South Pole have dropped an average of just under 1 degree for each of the years starting in 1979 through this last year. Hmmmmmmm

Australia has run an average of 5 degrees below normal all of the summer this last year. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

China gets the worst snow in a hundred years, and so did much of Eastern Europe. Hmmmmmmmmmmm

I sure hope the "hot air" gets here soon, I have lakes to fish, and ice stopping me.:colors:
Too much water, so many fish, too little time.

Heh I tried arguing those types of points, and current weather, as proof there is no such thing as global warming with a co-worker and they just continued in their circular reasoning saying "thats because global warming is changing the weather globally so its hot when it should be cold and cold when it should be hot"......I just laughed and decided to talk about something else.....

Im just glad today to see some of the field next to my house finally.....the snow on the field at its highest was up to my waist I kid you not
