And to think we're going fishing tomorrow at Amber Lake. The older I get, the more I hate cold weather.

Yup, no more winter fishing for me, usually, but it'll have to be a sunny warm day.:-#

Yup! That's snow. It piled up to about an inch. Snowed 3 times today, and now it's sunny and it's warmed up to 45. I'm still goin' fishin'.

I don't think "warmed up" and "45" belong in the same sentence unless we're talking Celsius. [lol]

Get out there and fish, fellas! We're struggling to melt off up here. I've got the worst case of cabin fever I've had in my life! I saw one of the base outdoor recreation guys with a power auger drilling and measuring a hole on a local lake. I asked him how thick it still was. He replied "32 inches". OUCH. If I was still in WA I'd have netted a couple hundred of em by now!

To make it happen, though, I keep my feet out of the water and on my pontoon's foot rests. I'm a wimp when it comes to cold feet. Heck, they get cold anyways after a few hours, as the wind blows across wet wading shoes.

Now......just cowboy up, get out there, and catch me some fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. I need pics, too.

Was planning on going out tomorrow, but it is going to be in the low 40's and the wind ALWAYS blows at Amber in the spring. The arthritis has been kicking up a lot recently with all the cold, wind and rain. Makes it very difficult to tie on flies when the fingers don't want to work.

Where are those Golden Years I keep hearing about.[glare]

This wonderful spring weather we having is the exact reason why my pontoon boats sits in the garage, and I purchased a 14" aluminum boat with trailer and a removable 20 hp johnson on the back, and a 55lb thrust electric trolling motor on the bow .. The reason I say removable is so I can still row the boat at lakes that don't allow motors of any kind.. No more cold feet or the wind bothering this guy anymore...

Not too uncommon. I can go to the meat department at Safeway and get skunked. :bigsmurf:
