But a 5 star day for one person might be a 3 star for another. And 8 bass that are all under 2 pounds each might be a great day fun wise, but not much to brag about when the person is hog hunting, which I don't do, or at least hoping for a big fish. And none of those fish are worthy of a picture. Altho usually 8 fish in 2 or 3 hours is a great day of fun, regardless of size. I've had GREAT days of 20 to even 50 fish. BUT those fish were ALL 1 1/2 pounds and under. BUT then the new bass fisherman that was with me had a great day. We didn't need a bunch of 5 pounders to have a great day. One of the best pictures I ever posted is of a Largemouth on a senko. The Largemouth was so small it could barely open it's mouth big enough to grab the worm, and he wasn't even close to the hook. [laugh] But when I get to go fishing 3 or 5 or even 7 days a week, I don't feel like sweating the 'hog hunting' effort, I just go to have fun. I just fish the way I want, with the lures I want, where in the lake I want, and not the lures the fish want. Someday I'll have to buckle down and start REALLY bass fishing again and quit going just for fun. [rolleyes] [laugh]

So I've heard. I'm not one to be running a couple hundred yards up and down the bank. Heck I can't even run the length of my 18 foot boat. Image

First egg take was yesterday, only 7 hens and 11 bucks ONLY 7 HENS the hens are what they need!!! As for dannyl I don't know what you are talking about saying there are a lot of fish. Why would you bs people??? I was there from daylight till about 1:00. a couple fish can hardly be called a lot of fish. Seems you put up a post saying you would report back after your trip monday....I would think if you had saw lots of fish monday, you would have reported back.
If a guy only puts in photos and reports when they do well, it makes it seem like they go out less than they do, and they are really good at fishing!
funny but true. I don't worry about posting my skunk reports, it's part of fishing and I try to give a report on how others around me did, so just because I rank it a "1", if you don't read it you may miss that lot's of people around me were catching fish.
My motivation for posting a report is my own personal fishing trip records, so I try to post every trip, good or not. I want to be able to look back ten years and see that I fished a particular spot, regardless of how I did. But that's just the way I use the site, others are welcome to use it the way they want.

Before I moved east I fished the Cascade a number of times for salmon and steelhead. If I posted the results of all my steelhead trips up there the sum total would be: 0 steelhead, 10+ dollies (11 one day) and two bobbers pulled under by steelheads. A number of rigs lost on that one sunken stump down from the hatchery hole....

Why did they not put a hatchery at the Gorge dam on the skagit?

Yes, it has been very slow. You don't see many fish being caught up there this year. Starting to wonder if they will come in! [cursing]
