Curing shrimp for Sockeye. What's the story...

Me and my son are getting ready for Sockeye here on the upper Columbia and looking to improve our catch rates. One of the things that I've been seeing a lot of lately is that folks are adding cured shrimp to their trolling menu. Any suggestions on an easy one or two ingredient recipe to help us in that direction?

I know a little something about curing shrimp, at least the fish think I do. I hit Fred's and pick up 5 or 6, 22-26 count shrimp (dollar and a half). I cut them into bite size pieces (varies depending on hook size). I then add a teaspoon or two of Pautzke's fire cure and stir untill mixed thoroughly. I usually use the pink fire cure but will sometimes use a blend of pink and red. Although hard to find the purple works well also. Store the cured shrimp in the refrigerator or freezer for long term storage. Good luck, and these shrimp absolutely slaughtered them at Brewster a few years back.
