The folks fishing Lake Wenatchee have a head start on the rest of us. I saw plenty of boots in the reports from this year.

Haven't caught a boot yet this year. Sammamish had some nice ones come out too... Someone has to have one! There are even chum around...

Should have taken a pic! I had one swim into our gear and nearly beach itself on the Nisqually! First boot Ive seen this year. Nasty lookin.

So the locals at Barrier were putting boot Springers on their stringer...I asked them if they were any good and they said, "yeah, you'd be surprised at how resilient the meat is"...so I tested the theory. Let's just say this guy ended up becoming garden fertilizer and lesson learned. LOL
