Reminder,
It's that time again....
We will be holding our monthly meeting and Awards presentation this Thursday (Mar 15) at Round Table Pizza in Federal Way starting @ 630pm. We have some outstanding anglers with us and it time to formally recognize their accomplishment for 2011. Also, keep in mind that we are selling MEGA Raffle ticket until next month where we will draw the winner of the 50/50 raffle. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and every little bit helps.
Come on out and show your support, buy some tickets and have a blast at the same time.
See you there

Re: Meeting and Awards Presentation this Thursday (Mar 15)
Had a great meeting tonight and it's always nice to see some new faces in the crowd mixed in with our regular crowd. After we completed some necessary business we handed out some well deserved hardware to our top anglers from 2011.
Tournament Champion went to Dan Fuller (total inches during tournament play)
Angler of the year was once again Mike Floyd (total inch for the year)
Lunker of the year was awarded to Mike Floyd for his 48.5 x 23.5 Tiger (biggest Tiger for the year)
Also this year, we awarded Perry Peterson with Sportsman of Year for his continuing support of this organization. Perry was one of the original founding members and past President's and even though he hasn't been able to get out on the water as much as he'd like, he continues to support Chapter 57 anyway he can. Thank you…
Congratulation to all, very well deserved. Now, the slate has been wiped clean for 2011, so who's it going to be next year.......YOU????
(Pictures to soon follow)
Thanks everyone for all you do and we look forward to seeing you all on the water very soon

What magnificent trophies! These are the same ones they use in the PMTT (Professional Musky Tournament Trail).
All 3 of these anglers work hard for the Tiger Muskie and spend a lot of time at it.
Kudos to Mike Floyd; another great year! You are collecting some nice hardware.
Your "Angler of the Year" coat is getting another year embroidered on it, too.
And congrats on your M.I. Century Patch
And Dan Fuller looks really good holding that big, shiny bling of a trophy; may it be the 1st of many for you, Dan!
And of course, the venerable Golden Bucket came home to roost in Chapter 57's dock for the year;
well done, Dan & Perry
(see explanation at our website)
And to Perry Peterson: You are definitely deserving of the Sportsman of the Year title, not just for this past year, but for the last 5 that you have gallantly supported the Chapter and never wavered in giving of your time and efforts.
The Chapter has thrived and grown and is now in good, new hands because of your honesty,
integrity and strong belief in 2 things: Take care of the fish and HAVE FUN!
CONGRATS, all - what a great meeting, last night!

Congrats to all of you guys on your awards!!! Good fishing and catching luck to everyone this year.
Re: Meeting and Awards Presentation this Thursday (Mar 15)
I would just like to say "Thanks" to all the chapter members for making this award possible. Congrats to Dan and Mike with their personal accomplishments and awards also!
Muskies, inc. has always meant a great deal to me personally. I joined M.I. way back in the 70's when the organization, and I, were still relatively young (started in 1966) because I truly believed in our "C-P-R" (Catch-Photo-Release) way of thought... Back then we did many of the things we still do today per our Mission Statement and Purpose... only back then we just had a "Newsletter" instead of a the "MUSKIE" Magazine and our Website.
One of my major life-differences since that time is that way back then my father was my "go too" fishing-buddy. Now days that has changed to muskie-fishing primarily with my Esox "hooked" spouse which is not a bad thing either LOL... However, at times I know I can still feel my dads presence near us when we are out there sharing the tranquility of simply being on the water together... I would encourage everyone who still can to get out there on the water and share some quality-time with those who are important to them in life. It is a great way to really get to know one another. I believe that life is way too short to miss such an opportunity.
Above and beyond to all... Thanks again. I do hope to see you all out there simply enjoying your time on the water...
Live for the memory of the moment...
