Blackmans Lake

Post by DannyL » Sat Mar 15, 2014 9:44 am

It was just recently stocked with a little under 3k trips. I'm thinking about heading there tomorrow since it's a year round lake. I'll be fishing from the docks, what color powerbait has worked the best for people?

Throw small spinners or spoons. Then you don't have to keep the little guys.

Also a small green/white crappie jig under a float, twitched slowly can be deadly for trout as well as the crappie in the lake. Dont forget its only a 3 fish limit

I was there last weekend and out of 30 or so trout almost everyone was in 5 feet or less of water.
Little white and gold spinners, everyone else that was there started throwing spinners of all shapes and sizes and caught plenty of fish. Good luck.
