the best way i have found to slay the planter trout : use a water bobber with a swivel no stopper let the line slide then the leader 4-6lb test. i use treble hooks the small gold ones. then put bower bait on the hook but just enough to cover the hooks. then make sure to check that the bait sinks slow but does not float. this will keep the bait off the bottom and off the top and keep it in the strike zone.:thumleft:
