Gills and perch in the offseason

Now I realize this is a little late, as they are moving to spawn and the action is heating up.

From November to March, where the heck do Western Wa gills and perch go? Other states ice-fish for them, or simply find other ways to target them - but in western WA they vanish.

I have tried finding info from other fishermen, wdfw, and other sites, but nothing co-relates to western wa.

Anyone out there know how to actively target and land gills and perch in say, January?

Any help appreciated - maybe I'll remember next winter.

I have the same question for Eastern as well as Western Washington. Where do all the Blue Gills go during the offseason.

The schools of perch go DEEP - I would imagine the gills and such follow a similar route.

you can always catch perch on lake washington in the winter. but you need a fish finder and you have to fish slow and really deep
