Clallam County lakes

Post by bel83 » Mon May 05, 2008 9:56 am

Has anyone here fished either Lake Sutherland or Lake Crescent in Clallam County lately? (or any other lakes near Port Angeles?) I am going to be in that area this weekend for Mother's Day festivities. Thanks for any information you can provide.

Welcome to the kevinb frustration party. I've fished these lakes hundreds of times when I was a kid. I've been trying to get current info on both lakes. I've even started a thread on this...still no info. We need to get the word of WL.com over to the Olympic Penninsula.

Hahaha, if I have time I will try and hit one of these lakes up this weekend and see what is going on with it. I know I will be fishing lake Crescent at the tail end of August (unless it's closed, I don't recall if it is a seasonal lake) since we will be staying at a friends cabin for 3-4 days there. Might try lake sutherland and just troll from the banks with a large variety and see if anything hits. Who knows maybe I will get lucky (granted this depends on the Mothers day plans...or if I hit up the ocean instead of a lake...so many options!)

Maybe we'll meet up one of these days. I'm hitting Cresent and Sandy Shore a few times this summer.
Cresent is open year-round but C&R only.
