Post by The Quadfather » Sat Dec 20, 2008 6:04 pm

Alright, you're not all going soft are you? Who's out there fishing, LOL.
I plan on going down to the beach in the next few days just as long as we aren't in that wind. Ticks me off when my casts won't sail.
More reports on the home page... winter cutt. trolling lake WA. G-man, fire up the boat. rah rah.:bounce:
Hillbilly... Lk. stevens Kokanee. Kuttkilla, you know the slow winter troll on the cutts.

I want too,but the small lakes around are partially froze over....not safe for ice fishing.
Might have to take the battle axe and make a spot

We broke out the cupcakes#-o 4:30am= high was 5 low was -10 all gear flash froze hitting the air and the 60mph stuff hit us as forcasted just when we made in back for a Cupcake or 12!
Bodo, Linden, floater:cheers: Great effort hiked in 2 feet of fresh stuff over ice and came up unable even to get a cast when the winds hit and we crawled for the trail head at least I did:colors: and the boys in most went over the ice I went through it poorly and Zero style points:eye: :colors:

I went to the Nisqually on Wednesday fishing for chums.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

I know Tony,, I search the reports every day, and your river report on the 17th is the only thing in there.

I'd be out on the lake if it weren't for the road conditions leading down from the hill on which I live. I'll need to go and get some chains or cables for my boat trailer if this is going to continue much longer! In the mean time, now is a great time to take care of any needed maintenence and get the gear ready for when the conditions become more favorable. Stay warm and be safe! Wind, water and freezing temps are a dangerous combo when boat fishing, can you say ice build up?

-15:bigsmurf: Works swell on metal Tubs and kickers:colors:
They do provide better Ice breakers with a 250' bottom.

Weather should never be the deal breaker layers, heaters, icers, lubes and hand and feet warmers will still provide some winter fish on fun:bounce:
Just ask Bodofish his kicker did not enjoy the Trip as much as we did:eye:
Remember in these elements still drink lots of waters and high protien low fat foods:brilsmurf

I made the trek yesterday to Tacoma & fished the bug rod for cutts & rezzies. Was surprised at how many were out fishing instead of spending money at the malls. Only 1 cuttie wanted to play but rezzies were plentiful and cooperative. Was going to go to the Nasty today and play with the chrome chum lords but it took me way too long to shovel out my 65 yard long driveway. My 4wd Titan can go through a lot of snow but the wind blew in some 3' drifts.

Tooooooo Cold for me. My two boats are put away for the winter. I do get the "fever" and want to go out but I am not interested in being miserable freezing my hands and feet off. Been there done that, not for me.

I don't do much fishing when it gets this cold...Skiing is my other big outdoor hobby, I hit the slopes when it gets chilly and snowy.....

I like fishing this time of year. While most of you are out shopping I get to fish.I take my fire bucket and my Baileys And get cozy on the Green.I may not catch much but it sure is pretty and peacefull. To me thats what its all about.I like just being out there.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Am taking my tube out to the water this weekend. Am sure want be out for to long but dont have to worry about getting up the ramp with the float tube. As long as I am bundled up well ... the water temp will still be as warm as the air temp.
'course they don't have biscuits and gravy ... but if they did, I bet everyone would eat there.
