Shimano Warranty

Shimano is no longer offering a lifetime warranty on there salmon/steelhead line of rods.
It will now come with a 1 year warranty.
Those who have purchased there rods prior to August 1st 2014, will still have the lifetime warranty.
They will not accept over the counter replacements. Instead the rod needs to be sent in to the shimano warehouse.
With proof of purchase, and a description on how the rod broke.
I bought mine back in 2013, and barely use it.....
