I left Seattle on June 1st to head back to the family ranch in Nebraska for some visiting and to pick up a 1/2 beef. It was hard to drive into that sunrise knowing that so many of my friends were throwing their 1st casts into newly opened rivers.
But I have been able to scratch the itch while I have been here. Hit my aunt/uncle's 5 acre "pond" and caught around 100 largies in 2 days (ranging from 5" to 4#) as well as getting my brother on his 1st bass.
Also been Walleye fishing at the local reservoir where I am netting nice ones for others and loosing mine at the boat (25"er and another I didn't even get to see

)
Here are a few pics
The 1st is my brother's 21" Walleye and the other two are picture worthy bass from "The pond"

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker
