No salmon fishing for me

Post by JT26 » Mon Jul 21, 2008 12:50 pm

My dad and i went to go wash the boat today, and when we got there, the 9.9 yamaha kicker was gone.
The boat is stored at my dads friends house in the city of bonney lake. The thiefs had to have came several nights to get it off. there was a lock on it, and they used a drill to get the clamps off. plus it was right up on the fence so they had to get between the big moter, the fence and the kicker. so they put alot of effort into this.
Funny thing was we also came to take home the engine to tune it up.

I feel for you.Where I live I have my kicker chained to the big motor which is chained to my Traeger which is chained to the carport.I 've had downriggers ,gear a kickers stolen from my boats.I had my boat docked on a private dock during sockeye season and came to my boat the next morn and my 6hp Evinrude was gone.People just take anything these days.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Sorry bro. People these days, gotta bolt everything down or take it off your boat when not in use. Just the way the our world is these days.

Check CL. Some of these guys are just plain stupid and will sell them on CL. Check the Craigslist for other parts of the state, often times they steal stuff in the Seattle area then ship it to some guy to sell it in Olympia, Portland, etc., just places a little further away...

i concur mate. there is some stupid people who would shove on CL things they have just nicked.
those kickers motors hold their value and are really easy to steal. mine isnt bolted down, but it is insured.
