Question on pier fishing

Post by fishndude » Thu Aug 07, 2008 11:40 am

Do you guys have any advice for pulling up big fish from a high pier? Theres no way I can get a net that long. Should I just use really heavy line or what?

Can't believe I didn't think of that. I have 3 of those. Guess I thought there was a more "appropriate" way of doing it. haha

I used a 26" bike rim and tied the netting on. Then attached the rope. Make sure the fish is tired and the net is well below the fish.
You could also try walking it to shore. I have done that at Les Davis. But I guess that would depend on if you have any type of rock or shore access.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
