Here Comes Basketball Back

Looks like Seattle got the Sacramento Kings team now.Excellent. Im suggesting "The Seattle Cutthroats" or "The Seattle Steelies" Whatever the name is it should relate to fishing. Our mascot can be a Steelhead w/o a adipose fin. Good news for Seattle.

The Sonics went BOOM because of dwindling interest [sleep] Do you think these guys will fair any better after the glow wears off? [confused]

I don't really think that was the case at all. More along the lines of the Coliseum need to be remodeled again. Current owner didn't want to pay and was stinging from the Gov. support given the other two teams, so he sold. Current owner had no intentions of keeping the team here. My office was across the street and I can assure you there were plenty of fans right till the very end.

The Arena was very outdated. It was small. I think it held like 14,000 or close to it. Thats too small to invite NCAA playoffs or any big pro games. It was small. I think if we had a 25,000 seat stadium basketball would fill them all.Look at the Sounders 57,000 went to see Manchester U. Anytime we play a real good team Centurylink is a sell out like with football. The Mariners are the suffering team in attendance. I gave up my season tics years ago and glad. Its hard to sit at a game everynight to watch a losing team. Seattle has always been a loyal crowd to basketball. JMO
