Liscense Year Structure

Post by Dan Boone » Fri Feb 01, 2013 2:49 pm

So I'm going back to school next year and the one after in Pennsylvania, and naturally I'm going to be buying a fishing liscense there. So I need to buy an out of state liscense for aproximately $50/year. But that's not the part that I'm complaining about. The liscenses are yearly ones that go from January to December. So if I want to get a liscense for that whole time I need to buy 3 liscenses at $50/each. That's $150 when I wont even be there the whole time and will not have as many opputunities to get out. I've never really thought about it before, but what I think is that it should be structured so that the liscense is valid 365 days from purchase, not until the end of the liscense year which in my case is only 3 months. Does anybody know if there's any way to get around this?

One way is don't fish for the last 3 months. It's usually iced up back there.

You could always check the one and three day tags if you aren't going out that much. After all you're going for school not fishing.

Yeh, probably check that and see how it's set up. But don't want to buy one and then end up not being able to use it on that day.
