the value of journals, and... razor clams

Post by Dustin07 » Thu Sep 19, 2013 7:35 am

I noticed the razor clam hunt is active at Twin Harbors this weekend, but the low tide is only a slight negative. I was trying to recall what it was last January when I went so I checked my history. it was about the same... a 0 or just barely negative tide. and the clamming wasn't great. As much as I would really really love to get into it again this weekend, I just dont know if its worth chasing razors 3 hours away in the dark for 2 trophies.... #-o

if I lived local though I'd still do it

If the weather works out, the dig should be good. Opening digs are always good digs whether at 0 or + tides. If winds and rain show up digs can be horrible.

Can't believe they opened it up in September, typically it's October. Wish I could go, I'll see about next month.
