Catch a record Lake Trout, get a ticket??

Post by AJ's Dad » Sun Mar 02, 2014 1:18 pm

What was a fish of a lifetime for this angler turned out to be a bummer.
A 4 lb'er earlier in the day, costs this US Navy vetran a record canadian fish.

" I figured if I gave the smaller fish away, that would be OK.”

Yep, caught it in Ontario, where the limit is one per day. A hundred yards to the south, and he would have been in Minnesota, holding a new state record lol. (where the limit is TWO per day!)

Wow! That's a monster! Gotta feel for the guy, just a little. What angler hasn't helped his buddy fill his limit while fishing.....? But a rule is a rule!
