It's about 3 hours of what occurred this last Spring concerning the winter steelhead that were not released into PS rivers and hence, the destruction of that fishery. click past intros and just catch pieces if you'd like... it's got some good footage of exposing WFC, NOAA for their practices... yes, some of it is boring.

"A special thanks to Senator Kirk Pearson, chair of Senate Natural Resources, for the hearing and grilling of speakers to get to the bottom of the Wild Fish Conservancy lawsuit. He is a great friend of the fishermen."

"Senator Pearson went on to get out of WFC that the only hatcheries they approved of were the closed ones."

Here's the thank you I emailed to Senator Kirk Pearson:
"Thank you for getting to the roots of the destruction of Puget Sound's Winter steelhead and the waste of state taxpayer dollars supporting the perpetrator, WFC. Until I read some news today, I did not know that $9,000,000 of taxpayer dollars funded the fantasy "science" based WFC. Please do what you can to redirect those badly needed funds into fish production, hatcheries. By doing so you are encouraging economic growth instead of stifling it. More and better run hatcheries support peak production of salmon and steelhead. These salmon and steelhead, in turn, produce jobs and economic growth in the industry of fishing and tourism. Sports, commercial and native fishing is not only a way of life for many but also a source of income. By providing "destination" quality of sports fishing you provide an irresistible magnet for tourist dollars, think Alaska! We've got the rivers, just give us the fish!
Thanks again Senator! Keep up the good fight!"

If you would like to send your thoughts on the matter to Senator Pearson: [email protected]
For WFC, the only good hatchery is a closed hatchery...They already have other pending lawsuits on salmon hatcheries and more to follow. For me, the only good WFC is an unfunded and ineffective WFC! Why did they receive $9,000,000 in state grant money? How do we put an end to that?
