RE:Gas Prices
North Snohomish County Costco was 2.49 for regular yesterday. What a relief! 2.29 is amazing...

RE:Gas Prices
Whoever thought we would think $2.00 a gallon a relief.

Agreed, I recall when the prices spiked in '97 and how exciting it was for the prices to kiss 99 cents again. Didnt last long though.Toni wrote:Whoever thought we would think $2.00 a gallon a relief.
I dont expect to see it fall much more but and even two bucks would be nice. Im putting 80 miles a day on the Corolla commuting.

RE:Gas Prices
from 4.49 a gallon to 2.49 is a huge relief i do miss the days of .93-1.05 per gallon but i think 2-2.50 a gallon is reasonable in todays economyToni wrote:Whoever thought we would think $2.00 a gallon a relief.

RE:Gas Prices
Part of that price is paying for the nice new streets we are now driving on, Maple, Ash, Wall, Driscoll Blvd and a couple more. The Spokane voters approved a gas tax a couple of years ago to improve the streets. That is why gas is cheaper in the valley or out in Airway Heights. After what it seems like decades, Spokane is finally trying to keep the streets maintained. Until they repaired Maple, driving on it was like:shaking: :shaking2:kantill wrote:We are still around 2.60 over here in Spokane, that sux.

RE:Gas Prices
we were talking at work the other day and are betting that prices will spike upwards again. I was just blabbering so I don't remember th elogic behind that but hopefully it does drop down again.
RE:Gas Prices
The "problem" I have found with the gas lately is the alcohol that has been put in it. I used to be able to rely on a couple of stations near my home to have gas without alcohol mixed in it and I had no issue paying a bit more for the peace of mind it gave me with my outboard motor. However, when gas prices spiked to $4 per gallon every station seemed to have alcohol in their gas. I spoke with my regular station's attendants and they don't believe it will ever change back. I guess big oil just can't help themselves when it comes to screwing the general public.

Kinda pesamistic dont you think? Why do you think that way. Geeze common.... The Q3 earning by exxon mobile was only 14.8 Billion with a nine month net of 37.4 Billion. And that doesnt include the other oil companies.G-Man wrote:The "problem" I have found with the gas lately is the alcohol that has been put in it. I'm still paying well over $3 a gallon. I think it's around $3.30 or so now for the 87 grade stuff, unfortunately I need to put in the expensive stuff, so that tacks on another $.30 cents...So ya, $3.50 a gallon + is what I'm still dealing with....

good point. exxon has it rough. Their earnings are still well under some 3rd world countries GDPRaMcVey wrote:Kinda pesamistic dont you think? Why do you think that way. Geeze common.... RE:Gas Prices
Retail prices should be falling fairly fast. The wholesale price (what the gas stations pay) for gas is well below $2.00/gallon.

Our gas tax is killer. My father-in-law in Kansas pays .50 less/gallon. Of course, the down side is he lives in Kansas.

RE:Gas Prices
$2.26 around here on the Reservation for Shell gas. And this has been going down about .04 every couple of days.
I'm loving it! I actually drive a ton around the county and wait to fill up tell I get out there. Great relief for sure. I just can't wait to see that $1-something price.
