It's one of the horrifying X-rays doctors saw of a South Florida 16-year-old who amazingly survived a 3-foot-long spear shot that went clear through his skull. Incredibly, the stainless-steel spear missed every major blood vessel in Yasser Lopez's brain. The speargun accidentally went off as Lopez and a buddy were preparing for a fishing trip on June 7. "It was about 1 inch above his right eye and then straight through," said trauma surgeon Dr. George Garcia. "It's something you don't see [every day] to have a patient arrive awake and speaking with a 3-foot spear through his head." Doctors say they're optimistic for a full recovery.

I wonder if he displayed himself under a yardarm like a big shark, and took pictures of his 'catch'. [blink]
