That's awesome, what a fun job for two months until the rains come and everybody goes home. Bet they would make a killing on the 4th of July and Seafair Weekend.
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

There are a series of canals in a district of Mexico City called Xochimilco. For a few pesos you can ride these brightly colored flat bottomed boats around motored by kids with push-poles. There are a bunch of canoes that run around all day some hot, some cold - on the hot ones at one end is the guy rowing at the other end is a woman cooking with a BBQ in the middle. Tamales, roasted corn, bbq'ed beef, chicken, pork (and who knows what else). The cold ones are usually just a guy loaded with sodas and water. Can't say I've been hungry (or brave) enough to try anything yet.
Then there is the floating Mariachis. The whole band just jumps from boat to boat - want em to play, wave em over from another boat and they'll hang out and play for you until another boat comes along, then they jump to that one.

The hot dog float in Lk wa has a line of boats waiting to tie up. They must do good business. Years I mean many years ago Wed go out in my old 18 foot glasply and sell sodas and Ice bags at a premium. This was before the water bottles. Ive been on the log boom on hot summer days. The ice melts the drinks get warm. Its amazing what sells on the water.
